Birds have the best view of the construction projects in Jefferson and of the autumn colors, but the second best view is available to unwinged creatures from the top of the Mahanay Bell Tower.
The bell tower is open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm through Oct. 26. Visitors 18 years and younger can ride the elevator to the top at no charge, thanks to generous support from the Jefferson Telecom Charitable Trust.
